BOCA TACO TRUCK
Food trucks are where it is at my friends. Isn’t it the best to be able to walk down the street and grab a bite to eat from a truck with the best food?!? I love cooking but sometimes it is nice to just relax and leave the tacos up to the experts. Better yet, if it is a Tuesday it is like a double win.
We have one truck that is at most of our local events in Gilbert. Best of all it is a taco truck! It is so perfect for our crazy sports schedule. Sometimes in life a grab’n go meal is the perfect balance. We are super lucky and they service our neighborhood park along with a couple of other trucks a few times a month. We can spend a little time outside playing rather then cooking and eat before we head out to soccer, football, or baseball….
I’m sure you’ve seen it around town. It is the big orange truck full of delicious tacos and burritos. If you know the one I’m talking about you need to try them out the next time you see them set up. I have had pretty much everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed yet.

GYPSY CUPS COFFEE TRUCK
Let me just tell you I am a huge coffee lover and there are so many coffee places that are just ok. Cold Brew is a hard business to be in. It is a fantastic idea but to get a smooth cold brew without the bitter bite is not easy. YOU GUYS!! Gypsy Cup cracked the code. This coffee is so good. I had the privilege to go behind the scene and I was able to chat with the owner Linsay Smith.
Linsay and her husband Neil are a huge inspiration and are truly living out the American dream.
The first thing I asked Linsay was what is her why to start her company. This statement may not make too much sense to everyone, but I believe this is one of the most important question that I ask small business owners. It really opens up the conversation with a sincere explanation as to what their company represents.
My inspiration or why is to live a life doing what I love, believe in and am good at. I want to teach my kids to live an authentic life and so I need to do it myself. And it is HARD. I had no connections. I was not a barista. I had no financial backing. I had 3 little babies at home. But something in me HAD to make it happen. It gets me out of bed, even when I am worn down, every day. I haven’t lost the spark. It fuels me.
I also love, love, LOVE the connection that coffee holds. People love to “meet for a cup of coffee” or things are decided ” over a cup of coffee”. Big meetings, breaks, catch ups. It is just this small thing that people meet over, study with, gets them up in the AM, helps make a morning after your baby didn’t sleep. It is so powerful but so simple. So I love that. I live for it. I am an introvert by nature so that was my thoughts early on. I want my Gypsy Cup to be in the room while people are living their lives. That is a big deal to me. Proof that we are all connected. I want to make the BEST drinks possible for people to share life over. It truly means everything to me. And being mobile, I can integrate my other love of travel into it. So, for example, this summer, we will travel up north to work some of the farmers markets and my kids will come, meet new people and get out of the heat. It really is a dream. I put a LOT of love and It really is a dream. I put a LOT of love and energy into my coffee and to watch ppl enjoy it, my kids to watch us build it…… it is my DREAM. Eventually, we hope to take it nationally to large events, get our cold brew into restaurants, bars, hotels and give back to our local community. I do a lot of work with schools and I find it really rewarding.
Linsay my friend you have done well! Your product is something to be proud of. Keep doing what you are doing with a smile on your face and you will thrive.
If you see this adorable coffee truck around stop and support her. I promise you will NOT be disappointed. This coffee is so tasty and refreshing!
Gypsy Cups Coffee is based in Gilbert, Arizona but they service all over. They primarily run the Phoenix metro valley but love to travel and are really up for anything!! They even head up to Flagstaff for part of the summer with their coffee truck in tow.

ARIZONA GOAT YOGA ( Chandler, AZ)
Yes friends Goat Yoga is a thing! I have officially been to goat yoga in Gilbert, Arizona! Yes, you heard me I had the opportunity to photograph a goat yoga class so of course I had to say YES! I mean how could I say no to that. Farm animals hold a place in my heart and well yoga holds a place in my soul. The combination of the two is just a no brainer. Thank you Sarah Williams @ AZ Goat Yoga for including me in your event. It was a blast!
If you are looking for a fun experience try this out. You can be any level yogi as long as you are ready for a good workout with great mojo. There were kids, elderly and everything in between. Talk about a fun date night that you would never forget.
I plan to take a class myself so let me know if you want to go and we can take the class together.
